Lethal Application is a vertical shoot 'em up with a difference - your hero can't fly, but uses her extremely powerful gun to propel herself around, while also using it to kill.
Each stage of Lethal Application has you trying to reach the top. An electric bean slowly follows you, meaning you have to keep moving. Enemies come from above, too, which makes the game quite tricky to start with. You have to manage your flying and shooting with the same gun - to go up you have to fire down, while to take our enemies you'll often have to do the opposite!
Lethal Application is a neat arcade game, with bright graphics and good sounds effects. Once you're used to it, the control isn't too hard, and it certainly makes a change. This is a semi-translated version, but there are parts (like the instructions) that are still in Japanese. Luckily, all you need to know is use the cursor keys to move, and Z to fire!
For a free shoot 'em up, there's loads of levels, and great boss fights too. These come complete with typically confusing Manga-style storylines, which add a layer of craziness to the over-the-top action.
While it's lacking proper translation, Lethal Application is still a great little shoot 'em up that offers hours of entertainment.
